Monmouth Gate House - here's what your site claims:
"Today, The Gate House is family run and a friendly atmosphere greets all those who visit us. We welcome children but ask only that they keep their parents under control!"
...sadly this is complete nonsense - we (my wife, my well-behaved 4yr old and I) went for a drink with my mother who had driven from the other side of the country to visit. The landlord asked if we could have my daughter sit down and not wander around. There were hardly any people in the pub and she was not going to cause any problems. I think they aren't as child friendly as they claim to be. I won't be visiting that pub ever again!
Rude and obnoxious landlord!
Not a family pub!

 Brilliant for Monmouth, all businesses etc., would be silly not to sign up. About time to get some tourism interest in this beautiful little town! I live in Coleford but go shopping, drinking and eating in Monmouth - nice place to be!! |
