Care Village Creates 30 New Jobs For Local People
Gibraltar Care
Village, the
pioneering new £10m development for the retired and elderly, has announced the
creation of 30 new jobs for local people.
The Village, which is situated
in Monmouth, is nearing the end of its 18-month construction period. The
finished development will boast a 95-bed nursing home alongside 36 ‘close care'
villages and apartments designed to promote independent living. It will employ
around 150 people.
It is now recruiting for high
calibre nursing and care staff from the local area who can help promote the
village's ethos of allowing the elderly and retired to ‘age without
compromise'.
Village Manager Stephane
Beaumont was recently awarded the Welsh National Dementia Care Excellence
prize. He told us "We have just completed the finishing touches to our third
floor and are now recruiting nurses and care workers to join our fabulous
team.
He went on to explain that the
state of the art facilities at the Village will be also available for all staff
members. He said: "Our village has a cinema, restaurant, gym, wellness spa and
swimming pool".
"As a company we extend all of
these facilities to our staff team who work exceptionally hard and deserve
perks like this"
The Village forms part of a
programme of luxury developments across Wales and the South West from PSP
Care Villages.
Operations Director Wayne
Shermon explained: "At PSP we believe that older people should be valued and
have an active role in local communities whilst enjoying the seclusion and
security of our specialist villages."
He encouraged all those in the
local area who may be interested in working in these new five star facilities
to contact Ed Bishop on 07817244673 or email edward.bishop@psphealthcare.com . In particular he told us that the Village was looking to recruit additional
qualified nurses to boost its care team.
Mr Shermon concluded by saying "We are delighted
to offer our services in this beautiful part of Wales so it's a great pleasure to
be able to ‘give back' by offering jobs to local people"
