Ramblers Rest is a spacious modern home on the outskirts of Monmouth, only ten minutes level walk to the town centre so ideally situated to enjoy town or country.

Offa's Dyke path passes close by, and the Wye Valley, Monnow Valley and Three Castles walks are easily accessible.  A delightful  “around the town edges” circular walk starts at the front door. The Black Mountains,  Brecon Beacons National Park and Hay-on-Wye with its famous literary festival can be reached by scenic quiet country roads.

There are many excellent country restaurants and pubs within a few miles as well as a variety of fine restaurants in Monmouth town centre.

"We stayed at the at the Ramblers Rest for 2 nights in July and found everything very much to our liking. We had a good sized, well kept room with its own on-suite as well as access to the guests living room with television, things to read and tea & coffee. Breakfast was also very good, consisting of a full english, a selection of cereals, coffee, tea and orange juice. We were also pleased that breakfast could be prepared to accommodate our schedule. In addition to the above we found our hostess (Cerys) very welcoming and helpful assisting us with our trip and generally making sure we were looked after. We would definitely return and recommend the Ramblers Rest to anybody hoping for a quiet and relaxing stay near Monmouth at a very reasonable cost. 5/5".
