NICK LISTENS TO LOCAL FARMING CONCERNS
National Assembly Member for Monmouth and Shadow Minister for Finance and Public Service Delivery, Nick Ramsay, met up with representatives of the Farmers' Union of Wales, and members of the farming community recently, at
Pandy, near Abergavenny, to discuss a number of issues of particular concern to Monmouthshire's farmers.
Following the constructive meeting Nick said: "Agriculture is a massively important sector in Monmouthshire and I am
always pleased to meet with local farmers to discuss current problems facing our farming communities, and to learn first hand about issues such as Bovine TB, sheep tagging regulations, the equine industry and movement restrictions.
"I came away from the meeting well informed on the many different problems facing our hard pressed farming businesses, and
will certainly put pressure on the Agriculture Minister to deal with their concerns whenever possible. I am grateful to all those who took the time to attend the meeting and express their
views."
