URGES BBNP TO MAKE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC A TOP PRIORITY
MONMOUTH MP David Davies has called upon the
Brecon Beacons National Park Authority to appoint a new Chief Executive with a
proven track record of dealing with members of the public.
Speaking from his constituency office in
Usk, Mr Davies said: "In the past, I have found it extremely difficult to get
letters from my office answered by BBNP in a timely fashion.
"I
have had to repeatedly press for answers and I am continuing to receive
complaints on a regular basis from frustrated constituents who are experiencing
similar problems.
"The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority
is currently looking for a new Chief Executive. I have therefore written to the
Acting Chief Executive to ask that when the interview process begins, the
applicants' track records on dealing with the public are carefully examined.
"I firmly believe that handling
correspondence from members of the public, who ultimately pay the taxes which
fund the National Park, should be made a top priority and should not be left to
be dealt with at the whim of officers."
