What do YOU think about
Monmouth's future?
Monmouthshire County Council is asking Monmouth residents to air their views on the future of Monmouth with a new action plan that sets out the council's vision for the town.
The plan - ‘Vision Monmouth - Planning for the Future' - is a collection of projects that MCC hope will enhance Monmouth's economy, heritage and community.
Included in the plan are projects that are MCC-led and also initiatives that are being led by other organisations.
Examples of schemes in the ‘Vision Monmouth' plan are:
- Monnow Bridge Gatehouse, which will restore the gatehouse to promote tourism
- The Portal Road development, which aims to provide a significant hotel or business use development together with coach parking
- Shopmobilty, where scooters and wheelchairs will be provided for those with mobility problems
The purpose of the document is to clearly
outline a shared view of Monmouthshire County Council and its partners about
projects that will improve the prosperity of the town.
The document and questionnaires are
available in Monmouth One Stop Shop and Monmouth Library and will be on the
council website from Friday 12th December at
