Parents urged to apply for 2009 secondary school places now
Parents whose children are due to start classes in Monmouthshire secondary schools in September 2009 are being urged to get their application forms in to the council on time.
Peter Fox, Leader of Monmouthshire County Council, said:
"We made packs available to parents on October 19th. We send them to parents who we have on our system as having a child in one of Monmouthshire primary schools but there may be parents who want to apply who aren't on our list and anyone who hasn't yet received an application should get in touch with us.
“Application forms which are not received by 5th December this year will be considered after those received on time. That means parents who send in application forms late are at greater risk of not being allocated places at their first preference school for their child - even if they have other children already in the school.”
For an application pack or guidance on applying contact MCC’s admissions team on 01633 644946.
