Comprehensive schools in Monmouthshire are all open today
and council officers expect all but a few of their primary schools in the
county to open this morning.
Council officers have said that so far they have only heard
from two primary schools that have said they will close - Llanfoist Fawr
Primary and Ysgol Y Ffin - although other Headteachers may reassess opening
this if the weather gets worse.
Staff at schools have worked hard to make the buildings safe
for pupils and teachers, and asked parents to keep up to date with any
developments by checking the council website at www.monmouthshire.gov.uk .
