Monmouth bridge repairs set for completion by early July

Maintenance work on the Monnow Bridge in Monmouth will be concluded by 9^th July when contractors take down scaffolding following repairs to the parapet and roof.  All pointing to the structure has been completed while downpipes and new zinc replacement gutters are yet to be installed.

Monmouthshire County Council Highway Structures Engineer, Steve Baldwin said: "These vital repairs should be finished well before the Rolls Royce enthusiasts' parade takes place in mid July".
