MCC upgrades publicrights of way system
Residents are being asked to report
problems online on rights of way whilst Monmouthshire County
Council installs a new computer system that will improve the service.
MCC is investing in a new Countryside Access
Management IT system, which will help improve our service and help to implement
the Rights of Way Improvement Plan.
As a result from the end of Thursday 19th February to Wednesday 25th February MCC will be unable to provide a full rights of way service, although we they still be able to receive information.
Matthew Lewis, MCC’s Countryside Manager, said:
“It will greatly assist us if people would report rights of way issues using the on-line reporting form on the "report it" part of the MCC website during this period. These enquiries will then be available to feed into the new system.”
The Definitive Map and Public Registers will remain open for inspection during this period but as staff will be engaged in off-site training no rights of way staff will be available on the 23rd and 24th February.
If you need to meet a rights of way officer please pre-book an appointment on 01633 644850.
“We will be very grateful for your understanding during the transition period.”
