Information and advice available on Parents' Week bus tour
A bus will be touring Monmouthshire during National Parents' Week providing information on services available to support parents.
The ninth annual Parents' Week will take place from Monday 20th October to Sunday 26th October 2008 and aims to celebrate the valuable work parents do; examine ways parents can be more effective; and ensure that parents' work is recognised.
Monmouthshire Children and Young People's Partnership has organised for a bus to be staffed with officers who will be asking parents what they think of the services available to them, letting parents know what support is available and asking how we can make improvements.
Sarah Russell, Monmouthshire County Council's Children and Young People's Partnership Manager, said:
"We're bringing out the bus on Parents' Week hoping to meet parents who we can help and also those who can advise us of what they need and what services they feel need improving in Monmouthshire.
"A lot of parents and guardians aren't aware of assistance that is available and we need to learn more about what parents need.
"We want Parents' Week to celebrate the achievements of our services over the last year, listen to what parents and families think of our services, and invite new families in our area to visit us."
