GMTV
early morning visit to Monmouthshire outdoor centre
Fitness
instructor Kevin Adams and nutritionist Charlotte Watts of GMTV's Beach Body
Boot Camp paid a visit at an unearthly hour to Gwent Outdoor Education Centre's
Hilston Park site near Skenfrith last week to put five recruits through their
paces. The broadcast was part of the Beach Body Boot Camp designed to get
viewers fitter and more confident to take to the beach this summer.
Ian Kennett,
the Head of the Outdoor Education Service, was present at 4.30am to welcome and
introduce them to various challenges including the high ropes course which they
conquered, but only after a few early morning tears were shed.
Hilston Park
and the other Gwent OEC sites at Gilwern and Talybont on Usk have played host
to a number of organisations including Bath Rugby Club, Monmouthshire
Headteachers Conference and Indus Television as well as providing courses for
some 5,000 students from local schools each year. All three sites are
also available for meetings with refreshments provided if required.
