Candlelit Procession and Christmas Celebrations
The candlelit procession and carol service will, this year,
take place on Tuesday 15th December starting at 6.00pm. Everyone is invited to gather on the Castle Square at 5.45pm where they can collect their candles
and be entertained by the "Glow in the Dark" juggler, who will then lead the
procession down to the old Monnow
Bridge.
There will be a "Fancy Dress" competition and all entrants
will receive a small prize, with book tokens
going to the most imaginative costumes. The highlight of the evening will be an
appearance from a very special person in his sleigh. He can later be visited in
his grotto near the Robin Hood, where good children may receive a little treat!
Mums and Dads can enjoy a glass of mulled wine.
Carol singing will be led by the children of Kymin View
school and the choir from Whitchurch school, with a little help from the Revs. Kevin Cecil and David McGladdery.
Come along and enjoy this very festive occasion, whatever
your age!
