Local Crimes
Overnight Wednesday 19th to Thursday 20th November, Trellech School was broken into and speakers from a music system and a CD box, total value £400, were stolen. A forensic examination was carried out and further enquiries are being conducted. (Crime Ref: BM/1243/08)
Sometime during the night of Thursday 20th November, a brick was put through the front window of Paws Pet Shop in the Oldway Centre. (Crime Ref: BM/1250/08)
Overnight Thursday 20th and Friday 21st November, two Quad Bikes were stolen, one from Cwmcarvan and the other from Llanishen, (Crime Ref: BM/1248/08) (Crime Ref: BM/1247/08) respectfully.
Saturday morning 22nd November, an elderly lady shopping in town had her handbag stolen whilst in Boots the Chemist. CCTV was checked and two females were captured committing the offence. Enquiries are now being made to identify the two women.(Crime Ref: BM/125/08)
On Sunday 23rd November, a local businessman discovered that two magnetic signs had been removed from his grey Ford Transit overnight. The vehicle had been parked in Cattle Market car park opposite Waitrose. The signs read "Garden Care - Alex Simmons (with phone numbers)". These signs are magnetic and could be used on any appropriate vehicle. Any sightings please contact police(Crime Ref: BM/1257/08)
