Knife Weapon Hand-In
Gwent Police is conducting a Knife/Weapon Hand-In
between Friday 6th March and Friday 17th April 2009, the aim being to remove
knives and weapons from the public domain as well as creating awareness about
unwanted knives and weapons.
The possession of knives and weapons by members of
the public is emerging as a Force problem. Each year a number of persons are
seriously injured by such articles. The public will be allowed to remain anonymous
when surrendering articles.
Opening hours
for Monmouth Police Station is Monday to Friday, 12md to 4pm. Additional opening
hours are displayed outside the station.
Alternative
police stations receiving the weapons are: Abergavenny, Chepstow, Pontypool,
Cwmbran and Newport.
