Incidents

On Friday 6^th March 2009, a drugs warrant was executed on a property in Carbonne Close, Monmouth. A quantity of an illegal substance was found. A 34 year old man was dealt with for possession of a controlled substance.

Crimes:

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred sometime between 10pm and midnight on Saturday 7^th March 2009, in the private quarters of The Gloucestershire Public House on Monnow Street, Monmouth.  Entry was gained by forcing an internal door and a LCD 42" television was stolen. The offenders escaped by carrying the TV out of the rear fire escape and through another property in Nailers Lane.  A loud noise was heard at 11.10pm, from the rear of the property. (Crime Ref. Sometime between 1.30pm on Saturday 7^th March and 9.15am Monday 9^th March 2009 a premises in Nailers Lane, Monmouth was broken into by removing a window frame to the rear of the property. A quantity of power tools, to value of £500, were stolen. (Crime Ref. No. BM/257/09)
