Arrests:
On Tuesday 13th January, three local peoplewere arrested in connection with the burglary at the Riverside Hotel (Crime Ref No. BM/47/09) and the stolen television was recovered. They are currently on police bail pending further enquiries and forensic results.
Incidents:
At 11pm Sunday 18 January, police patrol
came across a Volkswagen Caddy van in the Rockfield Road area which had a number of
diesel drums in the back. There was no one with the vehicle and due to the
number of recent fuel thefts a dog handler and the Force helicopter were called
in to search for possible offenders. The vehicle and contents were recovered
and enquiries are continuing to locate the user of the vehicle.
At 4.30pm on Friday 16 January, three men and a Landrover were seen in woods alongside the A466, between Wyesham and Redbrook, one was holding a firearm. There were two dead deer lying on the ground nearby.
