Town Football Magazine Best In Wales

Monmouth Town FC's Football programme "Tales From The Riverbank" has been voted ‘Best in Wales' by the much respected Welsh Football Magazine.

The programme which is a labour of love from Town Chairman Lee Robson and sold at all of the Town's home matches was picked ahead of all other Welsh football clubs including those competing in the Welsh premier.

Praised for its production values and described as ‘always varied and entertaining' the award was fitting recognition for the effort put in developing the clubs profile over the past four years. Lee was understandably delighted "I'm over the moon! I've been doing the programme for over four seasons now and have probably done about 100 issues. I think a good match day programme shows how serious we are as a club in presenting the right image of the club and the Town and its quite funny as well! Mind you I have got a lot of raw material with this lot. It also helps that we have got some great sponsors and advertisers."

Mr Robson is also on the lookout for budding talent to help him fill the pages of future editions. "Fred Beach currently does the photography but if anyone fancies doing match reports or articles then it would be great showcase for anyone thinking of a career in journalism"
