PRIZE DRAW in aid of Help for Heroes

The organisers regret to announce that this Draw has had to be cancelled because it was impossible to obtain the necessary license. Monmouthshire County Council could not issue one as the HQ for Help for Heroes is in Wiltshire, and H4H would not apply for one on our behalf; they said that having a lottery license number would expose them to potentially fraudulent lotteries being run in their name in the future. This is undoubtedly true and as they have become aware, as a result of this planned prize draw, of the situation with regard to volunteers who wish to run lotteries, they will be now able to advise them accordingly.

Prizes which can be, will be returned to their donors; other prizes will be donated (with permission from the donors) to events which are running a charitable auction so they could still raise substantial funds for the H4H charity. We would like to thank all donors for their generosity, also all the business who kindly volunteered to sell the tickets at their premises for us.  All can be assured that funds will still be raised for our wounded heroes, possibly even more than would have come from the selling of prize tickets!
